* The Sunna rak'ats before the prayer of
Subh are called Fajr, and those after the prayer of 'Isha' are called Shafa' and Witr. They should never be missed. |

It is, of course, permitted and praiseworthy to do
rak'ats at other times, particularly in the morning after sunrise and during the last part of the night, but these are entirely voluntary. No rak'ats should be done between the prayer of Subh and sunrise or between the prayer of 'Asr and Maghrib. |
